Pragmatic Advisory Announces Elliot Jones as Director of Business Relations

Pragmatic Advisory LLC welcomes Elliot Jones onboard as the Director of Business Relations. Jones brings a distinguished background spanning military service, high-risk operations management, and specialized expertise in asset protection—a combination of skills that reinforces Pragmatic Advisory's commitment to the highest level of advisory services and client security.

Elliot joins Pragmatic Advisory with credentials that span both service to his country and service to institutional clients. His background includes service as a Special Forces Communications and Intelligence Sergeant, followed by extensive work managing complex, high-stakes international operations and contracts exceeding $100 million in value.

"Elliot represents precisely the caliber of professionals we seek out," said Gary Elden, CEO of Pragmatic Advisory. "His military background instilled the discipline and rigor that defines our firm's culture. Beyond that, his expertise in asset protection, threat assessment, and high-risk operations brings a dimension to client advisory that traditional wealth managers simply don't offer."

From Special Forces to Sophisticated Advisory

Elliot's transition from Special Forces operations to financial advisory reflects a deeper alignment between military discipline and institutional finance. In the military, he specialized in communications and intelligence—the backbone of decision-making in high-pressure, high-stakes environments where precision and risk assessment are paramount. That same mindset applies directly to sophisticated wealth management.

"The parallels between military operations and managing institutional wealth are stronger than most realize," said Elliot. "In both environments, you're managing risk across multiple domains with incomplete information, coordinating diverse teams, and ensuring that decisions account for second and third-order effects. The discipline required for one translates directly to the other."

"Sophisticated clients face sophisticated threats," Elliot noted. "That ranges from cyber threats to privacy concerns to physical security considerations that intersect with asset management. My role at Pragmatic Advisory is to ensure that our clients' portfolios are protected not just by investment discipline, but by operational security protocols that match the sophistication of modern threats."

Building Client Relations Through Trust and Competence

As Director of Business Relations, Jones will lead client development initiatives, manage partnerships, and oversee relationship management for Pragmatic Advisory's growing client base.

"The advisory business fundamentally rests on trust," said Eduard Hamamjian, Co-Founder of Pragmatic Advisory. "Clients need to believe that their advisors understand their world—whether that's the complexity of international asset management, security protocols, threat landscapes, or operational discipline. Elliot brings credibility across all of those dimensions."

Service as Foundation

Elliot's military service—distinguished by advancement through special operations, training of allied forces, and operations spanning multiple theaters—reflects the values that underpin Pragmatic Advisory's institutional culture: precision, discipline, accountability, and alignment of personal and organizational interests.

"The military teaches you that your reputation is your currency," Jones said. "You're only as good as your word, your discipline, and your commitment to the mission. That same principle applies in advisory. You're managing families' generational wealth, institutional capital, and strategic positioning. The stakes are different in nature, but the responsibility is equally important."

Pragmatic Advisory's operational approach—rigorous due diligence, systematic risk assessment, integrated decision-making, and commitment to client alignment—reflects military principles applied to financial advisory. The addition of Elliot to the leadership team reinforces that alignment.

Expanding Pragmatic Advisory's Institutional Footprint

"Elliot's background opens doors and builds credibility with clients who operate at the highest levels of institutional complexity," said Elden. "Whether managing international assets, coordinating with key stakeholders, or ensuring that operational security matches the sophistication of the advisory relationship, Elliot brings capabilities that most advisory firms simply don't possess."

Jones is based in New York and is available to discuss Pragmatic Advisory's services and partnerships opportunities.
